Hello,
I would like to ask for some guidance or advice on the salesperson application. here is my situation, I had gotten a dui when I was 18 misdeameanor and another felony possession/sales charge 4 years ago. I have paid my debt to society and no longer live a bad lifestyle, I even moved to nor. cal to make a new start for myself. I recently passed the RE exam and turned in my licensing application. I disclosed these charges and have no issue owning up to my actions. recently I have been looking into license denials, and the feeling I am getting is that I might possibly have my license denied. when I called the DRE the first time I explained my situation and concerns, told them about my charges and I was told that they deny licenses if the crimes are substantially related, I assume theft, forgery violent crimes, etc. last week I decided to call again and they said that my application was sent to a supervisor for review and it could take up to a month. now im really nervous because of all the reviews I have read about having a record, I also knokw that every case is judged individually. if anyone at all can possibly give me some more insight to this I would greatly appreciate it

If they turn you down try submitting again. A different day a different reviewer might see things differently.
