Has anyone invested with Matt Skinner? The company was "Real People Real Returns" then it changed to "Empire West Investments" now. I have heard that my investment in Longacre Estates is tied up in court. I haven't heard any communication from him on the status, what's going on, etc. Texts, phone calls, emails. It is all very quiet. Just wondering if anyone has had the same experience. TIA.

Centerpoint -- sorry your investment isn't working out.

If there is a lawsuit and if it is in Federal court, you can check the status of a lawsuit here. It is a free docketing tool provided by the federal court system.

If it is filed locally, you may have a harder time finding out, but a good place to start is the clerk of courts in the county where the property is located.

Let us know how it goes.

I am also thinking about investing with Matt Skinner. If anyone has invested with him, please let me know if you had any problems with your investments. Were you able to get a good return and your principle back from him? Thanks for any advice.

Yes, I have and its not an experience I am going to repeat. Reluctant to give details, investment may turn out fine but journey is not pleasant. EW doesn't seem to be very professionally managed and way below my expectations.
