I've been working with the top agent (over $60 million in sales)at my brokerage for a few weeks and something jumped out at me on why she sells so many houses over everyone else here.

Every single Sunday she has anywhere between five and seven of her listings available for open house. In the last four weeks she's been the only agent in the brokerage offering open houses. Probably others will start with there own open houses in the spring when things start to gear up for the selling season.

If you can't get them into the house to look around, you'll never get an offer on the house.

The best part of being available to sit these homes every Sunday is, you as a new agent will get a lot of opportunities to make contacts with people who could end up being on of your clients down the road.

Just passing it on to other new agents trying to get their foot in the door as they say.

Very good advice!

I always recommend new agents working for top agents and asking agents around their office if they can hold open some houses.
