Link building is a better technique for sure, only if you find good avenues to post your links.

I would have to disagree with the number of links and depending on the type of links that you are building. In my experience with ranking things on Google one of the easiest way is tier building or PBN's Private blog networks that you establish through a few different ways...

Just having links and depending on the competition level of the keywords of relevance. Most importantly using multiple keywords in your blog post/ website content..

Tier 1, tier 2, tier 3 building quality tiers for a better success rate for your business. Then, links to help to be relevant!

That is such a myth with people not in the SEO community with if you blog everyday more traffic will come. I remember, when I started with SEO and though the same thing.

You have no visitors of ranking, you will never get more attraction, you need to do proper SEO that works in 2015 and most of the link building strategies are dead.

Building PBN"s is the way to go..

Website just not need to updated everyday but creating back links and attraction to make that possible. Social signals have a big factor even through Matt Cutts from Google does not say anything really on it anymore..

Hey Guys,

PR does not matter anymore its about the authority of the domain and trust flow of the site. There are strategies that you can use to create a good foundation through SILO pages, PNS's and tier building to boast ranking..

though I would put my 2 cents in here since I have been dealing with SEO for while..

This is all so confusing, so many people swear by what has worked for them, but just as many people say that method is bunk, I don't even know where to start!

Google is constantly changing their alogrithim and some things that worked in the past may get you in trouble now. You need to learn from those that know what they are doing.

Unfortunately, there are so many that do not know what they are doing or are just dishonest.

Itís obviously because of competitors, they feel somewhat unsafe in the industry

I've found great success with guest posts. I'm now starting to get people emailing me daily asking if they can write guest posts for me. I usually allow it if they will agree to backlink to me.
The old Reciprocal Link Exchange Forum has been converted into this Link Building Strategies Forum and placed where it belongs - in the Successful Realtor Practices area. The number and quality of links is still the top ranking factor used by Google especially for ranking the competitive commercial keywords we all strive to place well for.

In order for Realtors to enjoy success with their internet presence, knowledge of what makes a good link and where to get them should be right up there on the to do list.

Let's use this forum to help each other get good links!
Here are some reasons why backinking doesn't improve ranking.

[*]You Have Too Many Links in a Short Space of Time
[*]Your Content Is Poor
[*]The Links Are No-Follow
[*]Your Backlinks Are Spam
[*]Youíve Not Got Good Quality Backlinks

Great points by Anisha.

Interesting to read this thread over the course of 5 years.

Build a brand. Build solid content. Add value. Build relationships. Links will come.

Google Custom Forum Search

This Google Custom search may do a better job of searching the forums for some keywords than the old forum search does. The results do not include threads from the Asset Managers Forum however. To search that forum you will need to be actually in the Asset Managers Forum and you will need to use the old forum search below.
