having own house is a great blessing but these days prices of houses are very high. at this time foreclosure property is best to build own house. i got this opportunity and i avail it and i am very happy. foreclosure houses are low in price because of there resale but some people buy them in high price because they don't know.

Wow that is a poorly written spam post if I have ever seen one.

I was lured in by the cheapest land in Canada. Salt Spring is or has been the most expensive rural real estate in Canada. I have thought it would be nice to be able to buy a home for 10k or so not 500k starting price.

Western Saskatchewan is probably some of the cheapest land. Houses in Climax Sask (real name) were in around the 10k range.

I have never seen any evidence that foreclosed property in Canada sells at anything less than market value. I have seen the banks hold on and wait out markets in towns like Mackenzie BC. In 2009 there were over 200 foreclosed properties in Mack and they did not reduce and blow them out. I just wrote a blog post about foreclosure in BC. http://saltspringrealestateagent.com/2011/12/19/foreclosure-in-british-columbia/

Most banks do not want listing agents to advertise properties as foreclosure due to the fact they do not want to deal with lots of low ball offers they will not accept.

Old thread - but I have seen homes in Canada on a website under the title of "Crack Shack or Mansion" and there are some multi million dollar homes that have quite an unsightly appearance.

Yes I am agree Foreclosure properties are cheaper comparison to others and best to buy but you can't get the features and comfort if you are looking for that.

However expensive or inexpensive the property is , you should consult a real estate lawyer real estate lawyer. As there will be a lot of issues related to tax and other property dealings.

Hi,
The cost of foreclosure on a homeowner depends on the involvement the homeowner with that particular property. The costs include emotional pain as well as material, financial and credit loss.

Foreclosures "can" be cheap but they can also be a pain in the but.

Agreed on your comments above. I was pretty surprised to see the building and land values in Lynn Lake, MB. Vacant lots are $1000 and you can get one with a 1 bedroom house for $1850.

Thanks to share it. It's great that you get the property at cheap price as we all know the price of property is very high and not easy to buy.
