Thought this might be helpful for those looking at online lead technology as part of their business strategy for 2018...

It should be no surprise that a recent survey* conducted by Inman found that online leads drive some portion of sales for over 80% of real estate pros. In particular, respondents to this survey more often than not agreed that rookie agents were the primary beneficiaries of online leads...

In a follow-up special report by Inman (based on the survey), it is suggested that this is likely due to veteran agents having already cultivated a significant offline referral base and therefore enjoying “a better-developed sphere of influence” network to balance their online lead strategies.

Without a doubt, online lead generation only plays a portion of most top-performer strategies, however, if you haven’t fully leveraged online leads, then you may be left scampering for leads. Let’s take a look at online lead ROI reviews from our peers in the field...

*Special Report includes Survey conducted by Inman (in association with offrs.com) between 11/10/17 and 11/1/17. Of the 409 survey respondents, 255 (62.35 percent) identified themselves as agents, 100 (24.45 percent) identified themselves as brokers, 11 (2.69 percent) identified themselves as coaches, and 43 (11 percent) identified themselves as “Other.” offrs collects and provides topical insights, statistics, reviews, humor and best practices gathered from real estate professionals and consumer homeowner industry peers.

Would it be fair to guess that you are with the Offrs firm that participated in the survey?

lol, no. It's an Inman Special Report we helped with, but the report, polls, etc. was Inman. The full report is here:

I asked you if you are with Offrs and you said no. I'm guessing that you meant yes and that your firm, Offrs, only helped Inman with the survey. Would that be right?

If so, are you selling something? Or just providing useful information? Do you have other surveys that would be helpful. I like surveys that can point out the direction of market trends and movements that I can't see. Best example quickly would be mortgage interest rate surveys. The real estate world lives on those.

The survey was interesting, but the results were about what you would expect: new agents need leads and look to on-line sources, while established agents are working on growing an existing sphere of influence.

Gotcha. Yes, I'm in the content division, but no... offrs helped Inman, but it was their study. We handle industry insights, stats and fun items like memes and infographics. Check it out at www.offrs.net. We post daily. I'd love to discuss any content you're looking for or have and want to share with the RE community. I'm actually working on some new larger surveys, but that will be a while. Mostly best practice articles atm.

Thanks for coming back and clarifying. I really appreciate it.

Vendors come here, all too often, post once and never return. They could help themselves, in my opinion, by sticking around and posting what they know or care about.

Most vendors, and people generally, have a wealth of knowledge apart from what they directly do for work. Feel free to share some of that as we all get to know you.

Awesome! Agreed. Yeah, we're working around the clock to provide some solid back-and-forth insights around RE and I look forward to picking up anything I can from the field (and sharing anything I can as well). offrs.com, our service and solutions side is all about agent solutions, but on my end of things, we're more interested in dialog with our peers. It's a big, constantly-changing industry and I think we can all learn from one another. Looking forward to being an active member here and growing myself! =)
