In my opinion you should go with a mac. The computer runs multiple programs more smoothy and it will last you forever! i have a MacBook Pro that I recently purchased, but I also have an iMac that I purchase in 2006 that still runs really well. They are a bit more expensive but they are worth it.

I go with PC. While Mac are fun, and useful - a lot of the real estate softwares (MLS systems, etc) haven't been updated in years and are incompatible.

Macs are 1,000X better:

1. They never slow down because they don't get viruses. So when you buy a fast machine, it stays fast. A PC always slows down shortly after getting experience any ways. To me this is the biggest difference, just not being prone to viruses.
2. Much more user friendly.
3. Comes with a suite of great software for making videos, pictures, audio, all great stuff for a real estate professional to build an image online.
4. Much more sturdy. Aluminum shell body versus plastic.

Once I went to a mac from a PC, it was like a breath of fresh air. Costs 3X as much be ready for that. But it will last much longer and hold value for resale if you wanted to.

Mac is good in terms of hardware and security reason. But there so many software can't be install properly there it need some 3rd party stuff or emulators to do so. But PC is free from that and now days there are plenty of anti-viruses which can get rid of the bugs and Windows 7 pro itself has a good security feature. And also PC will come in a lower price than Mac. Both have their pro and cons. It is up to you that which one is really suited you.

Mac. It doesn't get viruses, so it will save your butt later when your PC crashes and takes all your files and software with it.

IBM and other companies have shown that by deploying Macs in their company they have saved a ton of money and time on IT and support.

So if there's anything to be learned from that, go with the Mac. Plus you can bring it into a genius bar at an apple store near you to have it fixed if something does go wrong. A lot easier than dealing with the geek squad at Best Buy.

I am also Team Mac, I've had my MacBook Air for a while now and it works perfectly, it hasn't slowed down a bit and I've never had issues with a virus.

Also, as Mac gains popularity many, many developers and software providers are providing Mac versions of their products.

BTW, this reminded me of the old Mac vs PC ads:
