Can anyone recommend a reliable , quick tenant screening service. I only have a need once or twice a year to use one so I need a company I can call and in a matter of a few minutes get it handled.

Got to . There's a fee but it'll help ease any worries. I don't think there are any free sites out there for background check.

Anyone else have any?

I looked at all of those posted, just wanted to know if there were any that someone thought was really great......I guess I'm looking for a strong recommendation based on experience. Thanks.

I use The people there have called me when they see an error issue and when I had a credit report issue-- The people had lived on East and Transperian gave a no street, they were looking for East something, they were there to help. By the way the prospective tenent had 1500.00 turned over for collection in the last 30 days, going in in April for second cause on a F.E.D., and forgot to put down that address even though they lived there since September. I don't think I can help them with a place to live.
My thoughts are opinions only and not to be confused with legal advise.

Try I use them on a daily basis for a large student complex and it works great. Works for credit and criminal background checks.

A unique approach to tenant screening services is what is called "applicant initiated" screening services. This approach was pioneered by Moco, Inc in Seattle and is available through their site, The applicant initiates the request for the report and then "forwards it" (securely) to the landlord they want to apply to.

There is no cost to the landlord as the applicant bears the cost and there are no contracts, fees or other obligations for landlords to have with data suppliers. Very slick and convenient for all!

For me usually looks better than others. They provide instant credit and criminal reports 24/7, so if you have a fast deal it is the best pick.

I've recently found out that this new property rental portal is using them as well.
