I got a phone call promising REO listings and after lots of probing questions, and no resume or references requested...I'm then hit with the, 'And for $400 a year...'

This was followed up by one of those high pressure emails of we need your answer by Monday or we'll have to assign these properties to someone else.

I'm not a fan of paying for REO's and I've got more than enough experience and references for any Asset Manager to value and/or seek my services.

So, ever heard of them?
Thank you in advance for your comments.

If it tells you anything, I got the same phone call. After hearing most of the same pitch from "REO PRO CORP", I'm pretty sure it's the same people, or at least the same scam.

They have no properties for you.

I just got a call from them. Same pitch with free BPO's and occupancy checks on upcoming foreclosures. She said their clients are smaller banks and that I could expect to have about 1 out of 3 assignments convert to an REO listing. No referral fees. She actually sent over 3 local properties as assignments. THEN....BAM! She asked for the $400 activation fee. I knew something was coming. When I recoiled she asked me to please go ahead and start on the assignments and she would check with her manager about giving me a free account, and would let me know on Monday. No. I will not be submitting any work to you unless we have a clear understanding. She made a great presentation but I'm not buying.

You would think I would know better by now-they almost sucked me in so I said I had to get my information and thank you all for being here with your thoughts-it sounds so great all those reo's!

Just had a call from Peter Fitch at IReo Pro. Went thru the whole spiel, asking me about my qualifications. I gave them, but I could feel it in my gut something was coming. Sure enough, after he gave me 2 local addresses, he asked for $400. I told him that I had been burned before and wouldn't do that unless I verified first. He sent me an email with his "money back guarantee" and master listing agreement. It also says he'll go ahead and assign the properties to me so I can get started. Then I did the research. Nope. Nobody has a single positive thing to say about them. I was scammed before, but I'm not stupid. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

They got me like 5 years ago. They have gone through 5-6 different names since.

I got taken. Was told they would refund, then told the marketer didn't work there anymore so no refund. I just wish I knew where to blog on THEIR site ...... I can't believe I was in such a rush, that I did something that stupid.

If it is a fake portal, notify your credit card company ASAP and see if they will be able to get a refund for you.
