While I can certainly imagine doing all this in something like Excel, I imagine there must be a better way.

I basically want to keep track of everything I do everyday, set daily to yearly tasks and track my income and expenses

I use RealtyJuggler. It works great, and is pretty cheap compared to other options.

Thanks, Raquel! I'm looking into this system.

edited to add: Excel has always been what I've used, and I've even thought about going to the vo-tech to take an excel class to see 'what more' it could do for me, but Realty Juggler may be quicker & more of what I want.

If you have a GMAIL account, all the "Tools" you'll need are free through labeling your contacts, calendars to set up your alerts for drip mailing or to contact a particular client/prospect.

Access to Drive to keep, edit, manage and share all your documents, Spreadsheets, photos, videos, etc, etc,

The list of what you can do for free is endless and as good if not better than anything you'll pay for IMO.

I do pay 10 bucks a month for HelloFax so if I can't email I have a fax that is seamless with my Google account.

There are a little over 40 real estate specific CRMs on the market. I have about 40 of them for sale. I have only one that is not real estate specific and that is Contactually. I believe agents should do more with a CRM than it offers but many don't want more so I have it. With respect to using Google, the vast majority of agents will not make the time to create all the necessary work-arounds and most do not have the ability. Free is always attractive, but a real estate CRM does so much more than Google and all it's apps can do, and does it faster and easier. It all comes down to how much you want to take advantage of what a powerful real estate CRM can do for you.

Okay, Raquel, I signed up for RealtyJuggler using your link. So far, so good!

Looks like I can manage my rental properties; manage my real estate listings and sales; manage my part-time job with my Broker's rental company; and manage my calendar . . . all w/RealtyJuggler. This looks just like what I need. If it works out, you should be getting a couple of extra free months & me too around the middle of April. rockon

I built a custom solution that does lead management and all the stuff that off-the-shelf CRMs offer PLUS it acts as a matching engine between properties and the profiles of our database. This is really nice for our investors because we can offer to personally contact them if a deal comes up that matches their requirements.

Hmmm, maybe I should market that puppy :-)

We started using Buffini's Referral Maker...pretty impressive and really geared to the referral side of the business and relationship building. So far we love it, but it won't manage rentals etc. as the previously mentioned program would.
For what we were looking for the Referral Maker is impressive so far, available on the iPhone as an app and keeps us on track.

Isn't Wise Agent another well respected real estate CRM? I'm pretty sure it allows you to email or print letters to potential clients, being able to print letters is huge, in my opinion, whatever you do, make sure not to buy a CRM that is email only.

Also, accessing tools that are across various platforms and in various places is a cumbersome task.
