With all of the real estate products out there, what are your biggest marketing challenges? Do you use social media, print advertising, your brokerage ads, single property websites, personal websites?
Discuss your biggest challenges.
My challenge is finding a combination of the right marketing tools to promote myself as well as my listings. Why aren't they all in one place!

Because you and a listing are two different things. It's about content. One is content about you and the other is a property for sale or rent. People looking at a listing generally don't notice the real estate agent's information. Search engines will miss contact information because it's dynamically generated and the bot is searching for the main content on the page. Is it a page about you or a home for sale. Some site will allow you to post links in the main post about a property but because of spam, most will not allow it.

Search the web for content about you. Type in this phrase with quotes, don't leave out the quotes, your name and city state occupation. Example, "John Smith Cleveland TN Realtor" and see what results you find. Do you see just contact info in the first ten results? Or, do you see articles you have written and good reviews? You might have a good off line reputation but what is you online reputation?

Hope this helps.

We believe that you have to use long-tailed keywords, because it's unlikely that anyone moving into your area are looking for you. We think that aiming at local names, landmarks, etc. works, because that is what a newcomer is looking for, if they are online at all looking for Real estate answers. of course, they may be looking for local information only, but even that gives you the possibility of keeping someone's contact info that is interested in your area.

Google Custom Forum Search

This Google Custom search may do a better job of searching the forums for some keywords than the old forum search does. The results do not include threads from the Asset Managers Forum however. To search that forum you will need to be actually in the Asset Managers Forum and you will need to use the old forum search below.
