Notice and acknowledgement to all vendors:

In response to new legislation and client requirements, the following changes will be required for all valuations completed beginning March 20, 2013.

1. All photos of the subject property will require a date stamp.
2. The use of the following subject terms/phrases, are expressly prohibited in any of the narrative sections of the valuation:

pride of ownership
lack of pride of ownership
poor/undesirable neighborhood
unpopular/poor school district
high crime area
crime ridden area
low or moderate income neighborhood
affluent/desirable neighborhood
high unemployment

~~~~~~~~
I would love to know as a result of what "new" legislation is there such a requirement for a date stamp on photos.
Anyone have a camera that does not have this functionality?
Yes, I run my photos through Batch Photo Watermarker to show the EXIF information on the front of the photo.
Most newer Sony cameras do not have a date stamp option. The company did away with that function a few years ago, as they claimed too many customers complained about the difficulty removing that option from the camera's menu settings.
They ought to pay us an additional $5-10 per order because of this.
I'll add a few more words not to mention just to play it safe. Remember, never use these words: Layoffs, Pensions, Pay cuts, Part time job, 16 Trillion Dollar Debt, Deficit, Stock market, Dictator, Bernanke, Giethner, Homeland Security, Assault weapons ban, Federal Reserve, Fiat currency, Drones, China, North Korea, Afganistan, Jihadists, etc, etc...You get the picture.
Just pretent we're not in a depression, and that everything thats going on now in the housing market is not being artificially manipulated. Please agents................don't use these words so we can continue to make believe everything is getting better. (sarcasm off smile
LMAO and amen! I can understand that these companies don't want truly offensive language to appear, but sugarcoating reality doesn't help anyone.
Probably should also avoid using any thing with a 9/11 date
I have to set the date and time whenever I use my digital camera--it's an older Kodak EasyShare Z710. It's been a heckuva good camera, but I find I prefer my iPhone for most BPO work now. It just doesn't zoom as well as my camera, but the pictures are crisp and it's much faster. So the date requirement doesn't bother me. RRR needs to bring back its old forms as far as I'm concerned.
I've been using a Sony DSC-WX9 that stamps. It was a gift, but I think it is pretty cheap....probably Walmart. Worst feature is a slow zoom. Best feature is when doing an interior without electric on, I can aim it into a totally black interior bathroom with no windows and the photos comes out perfect.
Many cheap online programs that will stamp your photos. I have cameras that do, but programs are available that read the data inbedded in the photo. No need to buy a new camera if you do not have one. I have a bunch of cameras, my nicer ones do not have the option.
Just got a qc email because photos did not have date stamp for an order due 3/18. Problem is I took photos on 3/12 before the requirement was added because I was in the subject area taking other photos. So I sent them an email explaining that and that they can click on photos to see the date taken. I guess we will see what happens next.
I just got one kicked back. I don't have that feature on my camera and it is absurd to make us do this. Gee...pay us less and one more hoop to jump through. I kinda am sick of them and think I just do not care.
