Locksmith in my area require a letter of ownership before they will opne a house for you- I asked the AM for a letter and a work order for re-imbursement,she denied me both and immediately pulled the rug from under me- re-assigning a potential listing for next week- what's your take on this?

If they can't provide something that simple let them pull it. I don't have patience for rude asset managers, so if it were me I would burn that bridge with an unpleasant phone call.

Personally I never use a locksmith unless we need to make a key for the owners lock. For example a property in redemption that's vacant and only has one access door. Or a condo that has rules about locks or something. I just use anyone to change locks because it's very easy.

Only had to use locksmith once for anyof their REOs. and thats because it was a lockout. All others I did myself. Can't get in? Bust a door glass. Then invoice them for the broken window! hahahah.

They generally use Cyprexx, a national company for property preservation. You can request the re key through the message section of Equator. aka: Field Services in the drop down message menu. IF your property was a GMAC which they just took over this month. I don't work for the old OCWEN.
