Hi all.
I just started to use single property websites. (i.e. http://www.3100brighton3rdstreet.com/) the cost is extremely low and should bring great Search Engine Exposure. If anybody here uses single property websites please share your experience. Also what templates are being used? Regards.

It is not really a single property website. It is a page using a frame to forward viewers to the actual listing. Google would view this as a doorway page and it is highly unlikely that this page would appear in Google - at least not for long. It would have no PR to pass along to the actual page it is forwarding to either so it is hard to see any benefit.

If you search Google for "3100 Brighton 3 St" the top 10 are basically all results from authority sites such as Zillow, Trulia, and Realtor.com. It is virtually next to impossible for a single property website to displace any of these listings in the search results.

Hi,
I think, the main purpose of a single property website is selling the property. Is there any issue if the Google caught it and have negative impression? I feel, once the property is seen by the buyer, it will become simple to sell it.
Well, I have number of properties to sell, therefore, can't say about the single property.

Single site website can be great, IF you can get them to have decent SERP. Without that that are basicly a billboard on a deserted island. Doesn't matter how good it looks, because no one will see it.

I have to agree with the above.

In my case, what we try to do is have a stable of generic urls to tag onto single property homes, rather than the address, which rank easily, and have consistent SEO done on them. This means that the new content of different properties being added also helps them rank, and so forth.

The biggest benefit of a single-property website, imo, is so that it is easy to drive referral traffic to a web space where they can't drift to other listings.

who are we kidding? single property websites don't get traffic other than from marketing material they're printed on.

I find it funny that we can bullchit sellers into thinking that they'll get all kinds of exposure because we register "123theirlovelystreet.com"

You'll get as much exposure from a tinyurl.com shortened link as you would from a .com.

If you think that looks unprofessional, then get a free .tk domain at www.dot.tk to post in the newspaper if you do paper advertising.

A single property website can be a good marketing tool if combined with print marketing like flyers and property brochures. If you don't have a company website to link to you can also email prospective buyers a link to the single property site when they ask for details, so there are a lot of uses other than search engine placement. I suppose if the url is the address, it will come up when you search that term but I don't think that is the only use for single property websites.

I build single property sites as well. I get a good response from them. I use wordpress and a template called OpenDoor.
Easy set up, plus the site gets used as marketing after the home sells. I will continue to blog on them for a while to build the keyword juice.

I would be interested for someone to walk me thru how a single property website helped them in any way other than providing an inbound link to your website. The single property website isn’t going to rank, and defiantly not for any phrase a potential buyer will look for. It may be nice to show to a misinformed seller to give them a warm and fuzzy.
I am open to being wrong, I would just like someone to walk me thru the process they have used to get any buyer traffic with one of these sites.

Not all websites are created to get internet exposure. One of my sites only works because of the print advertising I do for it. Single property sites work the same way. The sign exposure is how the site gets advertised. Is this going to garner a ton of leads? No, but in this business, all it takes is one. Does it help get the listing? Yes. Does it impress the neighbors? Yes.

If you look at single property sites from an objective view, and not like an seo, you will see that these sites do work. Just not like most of you are thinking about.
