Does anyone feel there are any good real estate directories out there that are actually worth the submission fee? If so, post them here, I have a bit of budget to use on some directory submissions but I'm not going to do it if no one feels that they're worth it anymore.

You may want to consider There is a paid option of $39.00 per year for a photo listing with no reciprocal link required. There is also a free option providing a reciprocal link is given.

The directory has been around for 10 years or so and ranks well in search engines for "Realtors directory" and "real estate agents directory" as well as for individual state and province keywords.

The main attraction however is that the directory provides do-follow links on PR 2 pages. The directory has just been purged of Realtors who left the business or got new websites and "forgot" to take their reciprocal link with them so many of the pages have no agents on them any more. That means extra value because the PR is not being split.

The Saskatchewan page currently has no agents on it.

Google has recently said that niche directories such as this one are viewed highly by them and the search positions bear this out. This is one of the better places to get links from - especially now that there are few agents listed in it.

Cool, good find. I just paid the $39, hopefully I'll hear back. I don't like when companies don't update the copyright in their footer, makes me feel like I'm never going to hear back from them.

I don't have a list, but generally googling will help you! And then I just check the value of adding the domain with Moz, to determine if the cost is worthwhile. :)

I would avoid these. They can actually hurt your rankings.

My understanding is that directories, especially paid directories are not a good way to build quality backlinks. First of all, directories link out to hundreds and hundreds of Website and this dilutes the value of any link they may give to your site. As far as paid directories are concerned, Google does not value paid links.

Google search- "allintitle:[yourcity]Directory" and see if there is any local directories that you may be able to submit to for free. Maybe depending on your "niche" area you may receive some good quality backlinks.

I am a real estate broker in Florida with 2 websites. I am a bit of a geek and created my own about a year ago. Haven't put a lot of time into it. It does have a real estate directory. I only have 1 site in it so far. It is one of mine.

There currently is no fee for a basic listing. Anyone who knows of others, please share. They haven't been easy to find without paying a nice sized fee.

The problem with paid directories is that only those who pay get listed. Such directories do not offer a true selection of what is really available online. I presume most webmasters are reluctant to throw money at an unproven traffic source anyway. There are enough good free resources where you don't have to pay for a listing. Search for them ...

I'd rather do it on my own than pay someone to do it. I will go for niche, local directories and citations than general directories.

Google Custom Forum Search

This Google Custom search may do a better job of searching the forums for some keywords than the old forum search does. The results do not include threads from the Asset Managers Forum however. To search that forum you will need to be actually in the Asset Managers Forum and you will need to use the old forum search below.
