I delete most of them that I receive.
If you are doing this to market a property: From your MLS, find the most active agents in the area of your subject property/type of property. Call them and tell them you are sending info. Ask for their professional opinion and invite them to visit the home.
E-mail is good, but it is anonymous. Anonymity just doesn't work as well as personal contact in this business.

They are ANNOYING!!! they are SPAM!!! don't do it.... If agents want to see your listings they can go on the MLS, they don't need 35 emails a day shoving it down their throats.
AGAIN, IT'S ANNOYING!!!

Hopefully not. One of the fastest ways there is to get added to my www.OnlyMyeMail.com spam filter.

Rick is right...again!
There is absolutely NO value in attempting to get other agents to preview your listing! NONE!!
To heck with feedback that can help your seller!
To heck with the fact that these other agents may actually have a buyer!
Put it in the MLS! That's it! (I guess that is the discount mantra.)
To do it blindly, without rhyme or reason is not the brightest idea. Target the agents you want to view it. Tell them you would like to draw from their experience in the area. Stroke the ego, and they will work for you!

Some of my agents use e-campaign pro..They know it will not sell the home but the sellers seem to like the idea. E-campaign Pro IS NOT spam. They have an email list of industry professionals that subscribed to some publication at one time or another. Yes, I'm sure they bought the list from somewhere, but again, not spam. The recipient has the option to opt out of future emails. My agents like it because it is very inexpensive. They also use it to create property flyers, as a way to keep in touch with prospects & past customers, and many other uses. I will usually glance at an email because I never know what might be offered. And the best thing, you can delete it if you don't want it & it's environmentally friendly But ecampaign pro's list is not targeted & there are a lot of mortgage & other industries in there. Targeting the agents like Greg said sounds like a great idea

E-campaign Pro IS NOT spam. Web definitions for Spam: "To indiscriminately send unsolicited, unwanted, irrelevant, or inappropriate messages, especially commercial advertising in mass quantities. Noun: electronic "junk mail"." You can call spam an "e-campaign" but spam by any other name is still...........well, spam. For me the best thing is not to get it in the first place, that way I don't have to waste my time deleting it. If anyone else is bothered by spam, www.OnlyMyeMail.com will absolutely put a stop to it. One "E-Flyer" per person would be all I would get before adding them to my banned list on OnlyMyeMail.

Spam is defined as unsolicited mass email to persons with whom you do not have a business relationship and have not requested (opted-in to) your mailing. ECampaignPro is intended for marketers who have an established list of permission-based opt-in email addresses. http://www.ecampaignpro.com/realestate/faq.asp?faqid=5#5 Spam is interpreted in many different ways. I don't believe there to be any one recognized definition. A simple Yahoo search for spam illustrates that: http://www.webopedia.com/TERM/s/spam.html http://www.spamhaus.org/definition.html http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spam However, they all concur that the issue is with consent. Spam is defined as email sent without consent. Ecampaign pro's list of addresses are from those that opted in. If you receive an e flyer & did not opt in, then I would report the sender if I were you.

I get that junk for listings that are like 100 miles away......like I'm gonna run right over and preview that!!
I don't mind hearing about new listings, BTSAs, etc for listings in my area; I just really hate getting the emails from agents halfway across Texas.

This Google Custom search may do a better job of searching the forums for some keywords than the old forum search does. The results do not include threads from the Asset Managers Forum however. To search that forum you will need to be actually in the Asset Managers Forum and you will need to use the old forum search below.
