Assetlink is closed to new business but a good company to work with. They represent SEVERAL different banks and some use the reotrans portal so that's a "back door" in. As far as bpo's go they always order 2 and just because the locks are changed DOES NOT mean another agent has the listing yet (although agt A usually has a better chance).
They sometimes actually contact an agent to be the "cfk" agent first without actually assigning you the listing. One of the listings i received from them a few months ago already had been rekeyed etc, as they use an outsource servicer for that but i still got the listing. Most of the am's are great but there are a couple that appear new and quite demanding. If it's any consolation, most of the "power hungry" am's that i've ran across with at assorted companies don't seem to last too long. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

They suck! If i had to rate them as they rate us they would be last on my list!
Totaly unorganized.
Different people asking same thing over and over.
Their website is worst ever.

Wrong attitude to have. Unless they are asking you to do something that is illegal, or outside of your market's norms, you do it. It really is irrelevant what your thoughts are about how many times they ask the same thing of you. If I get asked this, I just forward the previous email to them and ask them if they need anything else. Our job is to make our AM's job easier. If you do that, you find that they lighten up on you and you really develop a great relationship. Otherwise, you make their job hard, they make yours hard. It's also a great way to lose business (even from companies you have great relationships with).

Haven't they changed their cash for keys policy? I recently received a listing assignment where they are requesting that I 1099 the occupant for CFK. Essentially, they want you to invoice CFK in FIS, the check is made out to the agent, the agent then makes a check out to the occupant, and requests a 1099.

Just sent them an inquiry about possible opportunities in my area. We'll see if they respond.

I've been working with AssetLink since 2004 and haven't had any negative issues with them in any way. The asset managers have always been polite and very responsive. Their system is very easy to use. Overall, on a scale of 1 - 5, I would rate them a 5 based on what I have done through the brokers and agents I work for that are connected with AssetLink.

As with all BPO and REO companies, you have to establish a positive relationship with the Asset Managers. While there are some that come across as the Spawn of Chucky, there are those that are professional and always willing to work with the brokers and agents.

One key item to remember is that when you approach an AM with a question, come with two possible solutions. It is imperative that you show that you can be a part of the solutions and not a part of the problem.
