If you have ever hired a professional aerial photographer and/or videographer for your listings, I need your help!

I am considering starting a drone-based aerial photography/videography business with a focus on residential real estate, and I'm currently in the market research phase. My market is YOU the Realtor who sells residential or commercial property so the information you can provide is INVALUABLE to me.

If you'd be so kind, I would really appreciate it if you could answer any or all of the questions below.

THANK YOU, sincerely, for your feedback!

-Matt

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1) Why did you choose to hire a professional instead of doing it yourself?

2) What are your top three frustrations with photography/videography companies?

3) As a customer, what do you wish more photography/videography companies did?

4) What's something you have never seen a photography/videography company do/offer that you would love to have done?

5) When you are looking for photography/videography services, how do you begin your search?

6) What is the biggest reason you refused to hire any specific photography/videography company?

7) From a marketing or customer service perspective, what could your current or previous photographer/videographer do better for attracting and retaining clients?

8) What were the top three factors that you considered before hiring your photographer/videographer?

9) What could your current photography/videography company do to make you happier with the quality of their service and customer service?

i have a question that's been bothering me.

How does flying over a roof help sell a home?
That's not a view anyone normally has.

Does anyone really need a birdseye view?

If the Parcel involves more than a few acres, an aerial is helpful to get an orientation for the Home's positioning on the Lot, its Boundary Lines; the surrounding area and any local geographic features.

I have a Pilot Friend who has to put in his flying hours each year so I'd develop an itinerary of 100 to 150 properties to photo (my own listings and some of the competition's); pay for the fuel, and go fly over them at peak foliage season.

I might take 500 to 600 photos in the course of 2-3 hours, not covering the same territory twice.

yeah but these aerials are being used for small 9000sqft lots in LA.
There's just no need.

Yes, it helps. There's a bazillion homes for sale with the front of the house and a bunch of other pics.

It's just a way of sticking out amongst the sea of other homes.
