This is a very general question and hopefully a few will read it who it applies to. To those of you who live near saltwater, are waterfront signle family properties with naviagble waterways, river, tidal creeks holding their value in comparison to the rest of the market?

Ours were, but Hurricane Ike basically wiped out the shoreline so most of the homes are gone or severely damaged.

Before the Hurricane the values remained steady though.
