So obviously, people are pretty passionate about their brands. Personally, I'm a hybrid PC/Mac guy. IMHO, it comes down to quality and longevity versus price. Traditionally, if you want to buy a car that is cheaper, you may get a Kia. It may last a while, but ultimately pales in comparison to other brands in the way of quality and longevity. If your concern is primarily quality/longevity, you may buy a Honda. In my experience, it's the exact same with the PC/Mac discussion. If your main concern is price, then buy a Dell or HP. You'll keep it for a few years and then it will start to get buggy and more and more prone to virus attack. If you want a computer that you will have absolutely NO issues with, then buy a Mac. It is definitely more expensive, but ultimately will result in almost zero maintenance issues or virus attacks and will probably last twice as long. It's all in what your budget allows! (And also, how passionate you are about your brands already;)
