ive got several orders im working on. 15 to be exact.

and they have been calling me all day, saying, when are you going to complete these, please turn them in early if you can.

they arent due till tomorrow evening. i think they have hired people in specifically to call on these orders.

I've gotten nonstop BPO orders from these two companies within the last 24 hours. They fees being offered are ridiculously low for a 24 hour turnaround. I've declined all of them.

LOL! I was thinking the same thing. I accepted one last night at 8:00 and got a call this morning wondering when it would be done. Of course they wanted it today if possible and tomorrow at the latest. Every time they call, they say "This order is for a VIP client", well if they need a rush, the VIP client should pay the rush fee. Othewise, it will be turned in when it's due.

They called and asked me to do a bpo in Southern CA and I am in Northern CA! I told her it was about 400 miles...she said "so do you want it or not?" What??!! I told her not even if she paid my airfare! It was $50 to boot!

This is my pet peeve. There is another company that calls EVERY day - cell phone and office phone to get updates. I hate to be nagged. I don't mind the e-mail reminders but if I have a bunch of orders, I don't have time to keep answering the phone and talking about the BPOs. I need to DO the BPOs.

With the caller ID I just don't answer the phone anymore. Not worth the aggravation. Although, I can see this playing out that someday they are going to catch me in a VERY bad mood and I am going to tell them that since this is the 6 millionth phone call from them the order may not get in on time due to my constantly having to answer the phone from them constantly calling me.

I am getting tired of the calls as well. Between Land Am and another company that calls every day wanting an update, it's getting ridiculous. I'm with mbrkr, I don't usually answer the phone anymore, but I was driving yesterday when one of them caught me to check on an order I accepted the night before. She wanted to know if I had any trouble pulling comps. Well, let's see...since it's not due until tomorrow night at 7:30 and I have 12 other orders to do before then, you might be surprised to hear that I haven't even thought about pulling those comps yet.

More amusing than annoying is the reminder e-mail from LandAm received seconds after accepting the order.

Maybe we should start calling them every time we turn in an order and ask "When is that check going to be cut? Cut it early if you can." \:\)

They do call me to make sure it is going to be done on time.
But i noticed so far working for them that as far as QC is concerned they really never give me hard time nor recall any of my work.
I am comparing them with all other companies i work for,and can tell you they are somewhere close to the top.
I do not know why or is it just me.

I'm sure it's some kind of call room working down a list. The callers at LA don't know you from the next guy or your work (or even tht you've never been late once-EVER!) They're just doing what they are told...they used to call me, but I took some rush orders on Monday and I didn't get one call this time. Maybe it has something to do with your rating with them.

PM your contact and ask for the phone # for vendor relations. They will tell you what your rating is with them. Sounds plausable to me...

They used to be in my top 5 favorite clients, lots of work, pay pretty fast and no QC issues. Now they are on my top 5 PITA clients. Calling to check on orders every day, QC issues that could be cleared up if they would just READ the comments, etc. I decided to see how this month goes and then decide if I want to keep working for them or not. Their pay is on the low side, so I really can't afford to hassle with them all the time.

I did a couple rural BPOs for them a few years ago (the last time they were willing to pay my fee) but still get several e-mails a day offering low fees. I just decline and move on.
