Once again, the standards/requirements for obtaining a RE license need to be much more difficult.

You need to talk to your broker and ask him or her to show you the correct way.

I think the scary thing is that this poster has a listing?! Whew!

I'll take, "Real Estate 101" for $200, Alex.

I think the answers here are a little harsh. Did you know how to input a listing your first time around? My office used to put mine in so I had to learn just recently. Not really rocket science but...
Anyway if your MLS is like ours go to your main page on MLS click listings and enter new listing. Fill in all the blanks from tax records and info you gathered from your clients.
Talk to your broker, office assistants etc. Someone in your office should help you the first time out.

I just signed onto this forum because I am a brand new realtor and need help as I work for a broker who is way too busy to help me. I look at all of these RUDE answers and think to myself...when I know it all I will gladly share it with anyone who is trying to succeed...

why even answer if the question offends you?
why take the time to answer??????? you obviously have NOTHING to do!

I agree with Debi. Completely uncalled for.

In Italy, there's an expression..."brutta figura". Some folks on this forum would do well to research what it means, and perhaps reflect on who they are as human beings.

Plain and simple. Anyone who writes the gibberish that the OP wrote ought not be in real estate, or any other business for that matter.

I agree that there are a lot of rude people on this forum, which is why I seldom post here anymore. Honestly, I generally only come here to try to help people who otherwise get these kind of rude comments to honest questions.

To the original poster:
Your broker really should take the time to help you with things like this. If he/she doesn't have the time, I would suggest considering a change of agency. However, I will leave that decision up to you. If you're unable to get help at your office, try calling your local board (the one who gave you access to the MLS in the first place) or searching the first page of the MLS for a help section. In my area's version, you have to be activated by the board in order to access the maintenence section and put in a listing at all. They do this for the simple reason that they want to make sure you either have support at your office or come in and let them help you the first time. Lack of communication about the rules and proceedures is often the hardest thing to overcome in this business.

Good luck to you and congratuations on your first listing!

Looking at the OPs name in his email address and his company's website, I'm betting English is not the OPs first language.

Plain and simple...it sure is easy to hide behind a profile and act like a moron.

This is America. The native language here is English. Business is conducted in English. Anyone who does not speak the native language of my country can do me a huge favor and get the hell out. The utter unmitigated audacity of human barnacles falling off boats on our shores or crawling under barbed wire fences and expecting Americans whose native language is ENGLISH to speak in their alien foreign tongues is astounding.

Hey, while we're asking questions that were answered in our Realtor orientation class on the first day after we got our licenses...where do I put the film into my digital camera?

The Homeland Security Advisory System has now moved the hypersensitivity level from Yellow to Orange. Apparently, too many harsh responses to basic, remedial questions could push us into Red by the weekend.

Navarac-
Non vali una lira! Sei un malandrino!

You took the bait hook, line and sinker...I knew you'd respond with the "this is America - we speak English here" argument. Well, guess what - the orginal poster WAS WRITING IN ENGLISH, alebeit not great English! I guess we all can't have Masters in English like you. Sei una testa dura!!

Greg In Atlanta,
"Fare un brutta figura" is an idiomatic expression - a literal word for word translation of "brutta figura" doesn't really makes sense. It means something done in bad taste. But like many Italian expressions, depending on the context, it can have slightly different meanings like "to make a fool of oneself" or "to be cast in a bad light."

GregInAtlanta,
Adding some more context..."brutta figura" and conversely "bella figura" permeate through Italian life. In Italy, Italians go out of there way to be polite for fear of "brutta figura."

Greg, as you live in the South, you have the same thing. Although it's not called "brutta figura", there's a similar unwritten code of politeness that is followed and understood.

Here's a southern idiom for you:
"Bless your heart!" translates to: "You are so dumb".

Hi Cars,
Navarac posts anonymously, so in his mind, he's free to act anyway he chooses and ethics don't apply. I'm sure in the real world, where people know his name, he's extra polite. Bless his heart!
