i am starting a local real estate company (expanding an office with 10 branches) they do not have any brokers for me to use until i get my license-
any advice on how to recruit a broker i can trust who doesn't want to own it as well?
also, regarding franchises-i know i do not want c21, remax seems decent, i like weichert-any ideas?

I guess I would start to interview people and see where they all stand on the idea. Also, I like Coldwell Banker!! But that is who I work with!!
Good Luck

This is a due diligence moment for you.
If you are going to go the franchise route, you REALLY need to get into it.
First you need to contact a bunch of different franchises. Get them to give you all the franchise info.
This is an absolutely HUGE decision. While getting some opinions here might be a good start (Maybe asking what folks honestly think of the franchise they work for), it should only be the most miniscule beginning of the process.
There are so many issues here ranging from their policies to you branding yourself, etc. that you really need to take some serious time.
I finally decided to go independent to start and continue reviewing my franchise options.
However, I have time since I won't be officially opening my doors till July 2007.

I think this might be along the same line of "Renting a Broker?" --- What can anyone tell me about this....
I'm also in the process of getting my brokers license however it won't be for another 8 or 9 months and I really don't like where I am right now.
I've seen a lot of advertising for this type of brokerage firm... is it legal, and what are the fees?

This Google Custom search may do a better job of searching the forums for some keywords than the old forum search does. The results do not include threads from the Asset Managers Forum however. To search that forum you will need to be actually in the Asset Managers Forum and you will need to use the old forum search below.
