What methods do you believe are the most successful for recruiting new and experienced agents? I am also wanting to hire mentors. Mentors have a commitment to 3-4 new agents (shadowing- answering questions). In return I don't charge them a split on their commission. Any ideas on how to find and recruit agents who would make great mentors? So far the best thing that has worked for new agents is having a recuit in real estate school telling classmates about the company. I really want to be a non-competing broker, but I need to hire some more agents before I can afford to stop my own production.

I found out about my broker thru this forum! So word of mouth is important. If someone is really happy at a place, they pass on the information. It probably also helps if they get a little something as thanks for referring someone.

I like to attend real estate expo's etc. Maybe a booth in one of those places offers great exposure and agents can come up to you for some quick info.

I know a big attention grabber for newbie agents are formal training, split, and market share.

Thanks for the response. I haven't given booths a try. I think the chance to meet people face to face and let them see our training program might make that worth my while.
