It isn't a matter of "tough skin" but, rather, it is a matter of using good manners. Using all capitals is considered yelling when posting on an internet forum. Caps can also be utilized sparingly to EMPHASIZE a point.

That out of the way, you should have learned this in your real estate school. Rather than just giving you the answer, I'm going to suggest that you go back over your course notes and see if you can figure out what kind of listing agreement this seller has with that brokerage. Research is an excellent way of learning and refreshing memory.

You're correct. Some states/areas, the board or MLS have rules that people under EAGs have to follow in regards to yard signs.

It really isn't a matter of "tough skin" - we all have tough skin for potential clients, but personally, I don't let just anyone walk all over me without telling them what's up.
