I will be listing a condo on the first floor. There is room to put the sign in front since there is only 4 units per bldg (I have seen where other agens have done it this way). I called the association & they said the signs go by the windows but my company does not have signs for windows! What should I do?
Thanks.

I would say that if your company doesn't have a sign ... then have one (a few) made. Hopefully you'll use it much more than once and it'll be worth the investment. I would then let the whole condo development know (direct mail) about your listing and they may come to you to list theirs or know people that want into their development -- reason for getting a few made -- plus it's usually a break once you get more than one made.
I would recommend that if you are getting some made that it reflects your name and contact number associated with it on the sign -- you'll be able to eliminate the name riders (a portion of the cost of the big signs that you can eliminate) and it looks a lot more professional.

Thanks for the reply. I got my sign, my manager was totally wrong! I called the company that supplies us w/the signs & they came out & delivered my window sign. It's the same as a regular sign but they just don't hang it on the pole. I will order my rider so my name is showing. My manager is not a realtor, never has been, so I guess I will have to ask others in the office or find out for myself instead of asking her. She has no clue and does not bother to find out. Not a good experience, and imagine this is nothing major!! Thanks again.

Auburn CA, You were exactly right, it's the sign that you hang. Thanks.

Our condo signs are totally different than the yard signs. Our yard signs have an arch at the top and our condo signs are just a large rectangle to throw in the window.

When I first started I heard 2 agents gossiping about her. I just listened cause I know that goes on everywhere, but now I realize how right they were. Not to gossip, of course, but how incompetent she is. I have never done this before, I have only been licensed since April, but I do my homework & get answers. When I talk to her she just does not comprehend. By what I see, I think they hired her to reel people in since she is so upbeat, who knows what they will do once the office is full of agents. Other offices are not like this one. Their managers have all been realtors & know the industry.
I pay $75 monthly fee & my commission is 50/50 split, which I have heard is the norm when you start. It's a well known company in my area, good name, that is why I chose them. But, it's a disappointment to work with someone like this.
Thanks, I appreaciate all your feedback!

This Google Custom search may do a better job of searching the forums for some keywords than the old forum search does. The results do not include threads from the Asset Managers Forum however. To search that forum you will need to be actually in the Asset Managers Forum and you will need to use the old forum search below.
