Hello all, Im licensed in Maryland currently & will be taking my DC license tomorrow. Im with a broker in Maryland & wanted to know if after Im licensed in DC, if I can go to another broker with my DC license??? If this cant be done, what about if I went with the same company broker in another office? Is that possible? Lastly, are there advantages or dis-advantages of having the same broker for different states?? I have a feeling 1 or 2 of these cant be done, but I wanted to ask to make sure.

It depends on your state's DOL. Typically you can only hang your license with one broker. You may be licensed in more than one state but have to pass the state portion of the other's states test and hang that state's license with an in state broker and pay their fees or splits.
