I've noticed some agents are using catchy phrases and slogans and putting on their websites and business cards.

Doug, agentsonline admin, knows first hand how it feels when someone steals content and advertises or promotes as their own.

But sometimes creativity comes with a price tag. Alot of slogans and marks are either copyrighted or trademarked. Using them without permission can cost dearly.

I know one guy that likes the i buy ugly houses slogan so much that he decided to use "I buy ugly and pretty houses." Problem is such confusion can cost time and money in defending mark litigations.

It's one thing to claim oneself as the hardest working agent in america but it's another story to say for example "my website is home of the 2% real estate commission site" which is a registerd trademark.

On a side note if you have a something catchy or possesses value it might be a good time to register your work for protection against copyright and trademark theives.
