Do any of the realtors out there use a Palm Pilot, as opposed to using a Franklin planner, BOSS, or other paper-based organizer?
Any opinions, advice or other information will be appreciated.

Actually I use a Sharp Mobilon as I like to type and found the screen on the Palm small for my liking. However, if the screen size doesn't bother you, they are a very powerful tool for the cost. The Palm 7 has wireless communications, so you don't have to fool with telephone cords, Mapquest, a directional program (for not getting lost) appoitment calendar and memo pad just to name a few. Also, my husband and I found CompUSA to have the best prices too.
Hope you found this helpful.

I use a Visor from Handspring.com. I absolutely love it! It's expandable, syncs with my notebook or PC and I don't have to deal with any more paper. For more info about this tool visit the Visor site at: http://www.handspring.com ------------------

I use a Palm VII which I love. I substituted a 5lb. day planner for it a couple months ago. Although I have to say that I would look into the Handspring before you go spend $500 on a Palm. The guy who is responsible for the Palm left the company along with a few top execs. to start Handspring. I think the Handspring is more scalable.

I've been using a Palm IIIx for almost a year now and it's great for keeping up with your schedule and storing tons of phone numbers and addresses (stores about 6,000). When Pat Zaby and PREP finally roll their new PREP contact management program that is supposed to be made to interface with it and synchronize then I'll be a very happy camper. ------------------ Jim Lee, CRS, ABR, GRI Realty Executives Associates Knoxville, Tennessee http://www.KnoxvilleMLS.comJimLee@Realtor.com 1999 REALTOR of the year, Knoxville Association of REALTORS

I bought the Visor with 8 Meg for $249 and it is great. You can also add a phone, modem, GPS, MP3 or digital camera. I also have a program that will store over 6000 homes on my Visor from the MLS. Check it out at http://pocketrealestate.com Put in code DNSM and save $10. It works with most MLS's. This Google Custom search may do a better job of searching the forums for some keywords than the old forum search does. The results do not include threads from the Asset Managers Forum however. To search that forum you will need to be actually in the Asset Managers Forum and you will need to use the old forum search below.
