This place has become more of a social group vs. an forum of thought provoking ideas and answers. I've used this site less and less over the past few months because it has become so difficult to navigate through the chit-chat.

I think it more bepends on the thread your reading, not the site in general. Also, there is now a place for chit-chat so it's less likely to make it down to the rest of the site.
