Personal attacks in forum messages are against the forum rules that you agreed to when you signed up as a user of these forums. If it is brought to my attention that a member is engaging in such behavior I will sometimes (but not always) first send them a request to refrain. If the request is ignored I will block their access to the forums.

Above I stated that when a member is engaging in personal attacks I will often send them a request to refrain before blocking their access to these forums. In situations where a member is attacking others personally and their profile reveals they are doing whatever they can to hide their real identity there will be no such warning.

History has shown that those that engage in such behavior and hide who they are have no intention of following forum rules and giving them a warning is a waste of time.

Thank you, Doug, for helping us out. With a few minor exceptions, agents treat this site and the people on it with respect. We all come to this site for specific information, a little encouragement, and just a place to keep updated on what's been going on in real estate. Many times, it has saved the day for an agent who is doing paperwork late at night and has nobody to call.

We appreciate what you do to keep it a good place to congregate.

I just reported a thread where agents were calling each other names. It's completely unnecessary, so I'm happy to get the ball rolling on their warnings.

This was a complaint about a personal attack and the complaint itself was a personal attack - so it was deleted. If you want to complain about another member's post please report the post to the moderator - do not post it here.
