I will be upgrading the forum software today or tomorrow - whenever I am able to find a block of time. It will require me to close the forums for a while to move all of the posts and member info over to the new system. I am not sure how long it will take but I am assuming that it will be no longer than a couple of hours.

When the board reopens there will be a better search function and some new feature to play with - so stay tuned

This new forum does not display as good as the old one. Is there a way to change the display or it? Maybe the size of text, the color, etc...

You can change the look. Go to My Stuff---> My Preferences---> Your preferred stylesheet---> (I changed to ubbthreads). Much easier for me to read!

What does the little fire symbol at the right of the topic description mean in the forums? There's no legend to tell you what those icons mean.

That would be the "Hot Topic" icon

With these forums, members and moderators have a whole bunch of flexibility is choosing how they are notified about new posts. For a quick start, you need to click on "My Stuff" and choose "My Watch Lists".

Most would want to then click on "Edit Watched Forums" - located on the right side. From there you can select the forums you want to "watch" and also click on "immediately" for "email notification".

Also, you probably want to make sure that under "My Stuff"> "My Preferences" - that you want to check the appropriate box for
"By default should anything added to your Watch Lists be emailed to you?"

There are lots of new styles to choose from under "My Stuff"> "My Preferences" so if you do not like the default stylesheet you can choose your own. What do you think of the blue and gold one?

I am having a problem connecting to the forum since the change over, any suggestions? Prior to that I could connect quickly, now it just sits there or I get an error message. Help!

What is the error message that you are receiving? Are you still having trouble? We were down a couple of times in a past couple of days so it may be that you were trying to login then.

Is anyone noticing a problem with sending a PM? I keep hitting to send PM and it says error on page everytime. I tried this moring, then just a few mins ago.
