I have know a person who is seeking 20-300 achers of land in southern alabama. I am not a broker nor do I want to be but I am a business consultant and occasionally come across people looking to buy real estate.
Is there anyway I can get a cut in the commission by referring?
If anyone has access to known listing for land in this area please contact me. Would be interested if both parties can profit from this and future sales.

in my state it is illegal, although maybe not in yours, but as far as i know it is a nationwide thing that you can only pay a referral fee to a licensed real estate broker.

In Kansas it is illegal for anyone to be paid a referral that is not licensed. Your state law might be different but definately check into that. Who knows you might help out a brokerage by turning them onto this person and in return it might get your name out there for your business.

But don't worry, in SC the max fine is only 6 months in jail, I'm sure in Alabama it's about the same. May be worth it if the deal's big enough. Oh, wait. You also pay a fine of thousands. Never mind.
This Google Custom search may do a better job of searching the forums for some keywords than the old forum search does. The results do not include threads from the Asset Managers Forum however. To search that forum you will need to be actually in the Asset Managers Forum and you will need to use the old forum search below.
