Paul, Thanks for your input. I was just answering Vickie's question:

"Can I also represent myself if I want to buy a house? If not, why not?"

Also she did not state that she was actively working under a broker. So I took her question to mean that she wanted to sell her own home period. Which is totally legal in CA without broker supervision.
