I'm located in Plano, TX and want to get started in investing and flipping properties. I am currently working as a Civil Engineer in the Plano area and want to try putting my experience into something like investing.

I work in Dallas but don't get north of 635 often so wouldn't be your best bet, not to mention I don't work with new investors. Your challenge is finding someone familiar with the neighborhood and the activity you are looking for. I can very much recommend Phil Hobson:

You can also search for some local real estate investing clubs. That would be a great place to find folks to network with and work deals with.
