Does anyone have any ideas about how I can market myself to investors besides going to REI club meetings? I plan on doing this, but wanted to see what others had had success doing.
Any way to avoid working with those buyers who just got out of some seminar and want to make 300 lowball offers in hopes of getting someone to say yes to their no money down lowball offer?

- do a few weekly hotsheets - one for foreclosures, one for rentals, one for fixers etc. Market the hotsheet in lots of places - make up a sign - somthing along the lines of "Hot Real Estate Investment Opportunities" - have 50-100 printed off and put them out at the major intersections around your city several times a month - list investment properties - some investors will seek you out - just make sure you don't let them walk all over you - use the internet to leverage those buyers who want to make lots of offers. Get them to sign an EBA and give them a map to the property and tell them to go walk the home before they want to set up a showing.

It is the top destination to network with other agents. To find real estate investors], go where they hang out . . . then do your best to help them by answering their questions. Keeping them informed of great deals will only help your business as well. Yes - this is somewhat of a plug for our investing community of over 4,000 people. (see my sig.) Investors like working with real estate agents who are informed. I can't tell you how frustrating it is for an investor to ask questions to agents who have never invested themselves. Agents who want to work with investors should learn the craft of investing - learn what it really takes to landlord, rehab, wholesale, etc. Once you've done that, it is amazing how quickly investors will spread the word about you!

Thanks! I'm actually a member of your community as well (over a year now I think), but have not posted about this specifically.

Consider posting ads to teach people how to invest in real estate using Craigslist.org for free. I made a killing doing this the last three years. There's one of my secrets

Everybody here has some really good ideas, and the biggerpockets forums is the best. I am going to PM you the absolute best way to find investors, within 2 weeks without spending a penny on advertising. I usually only share these secrets with people who I am doing investment consulting with. So please keep it to yourself.

I agree with super realtor, shot gunning offers only gives you a bad name and when you finally decide to write a good offer you may not be taken seriously

Have you tried any of the following:
*putting a free ad on Craigs List? *newspaper ads - put in Handyman Special and watch the calls come in. * call the We Buy House people who have signs up all over. They are always looking
