An REIT is different than a trust for ownership of real estate.

A REIT has more in common with a mutal fund. Think of it that way, it is a mutal fund that owns real estate instead of stocks. Most are publicly traded. www.fool.com would have more info on them.

If you mean a trust to buy real estate with, there is plenty of info here, just do a quick search like Greg said.

I would invest as the LLC for your protection.
