I'm looking to start up a Investment Group of individuals who are not in the real-estate business, but want to have their money in the real-estate business. Does anyone have any suggestions, pointers, stratagies, or ideas that would help me start, present, and market this. I'm not trying to re-invent the wheel so I would love to get the feedback of ones that are doing this and maybe help slim down the mistakes that are made by a new start-up. Thanks for any info, Chris

What about posting on REIclub.com? Tons of investing articles and great response in the forums, which are pretty active.

Sounds like you want to start a REIT. Hello, I started a real estate investment group in Colorado Springs just a couple of months ago. It's doing great. You can see what we're up to at www.srein.com

Great website. Seems like it's a lot of work starting one of these and keeping it going, isn't it?

Thanks, Dee. Yes, it is a lot of work. I really just started it for the leads. I just hired an assistant to manage the group for me. Yea!!!!!!! I am just paying her 1/2 of membership dues. The rest of the dues go to running the club. She'll take care of the database, newsletters, updating the website, getting speakers, organizing membership.

This Google Custom search may do a better job of searching the forums for some keywords than the old forum search does. The results do not include threads from the Asset Managers Forum however. To search that forum you will need to be actually in the Asset Managers Forum and you will need to use the old forum search below.
