Just got submitted a template for a new real estate site from a independent designer. I'm looking for a review from consumers to agents to webmasters, so please post your comments.

We wanted for it to be simple, easy to understand, and fast loading.

Real Estate Template

Should I take it?

Hard to tell from a picture, but if simple is your route to take, that does it just fine. I'm sure the guys will harp a bit on lack of SE navigability. I'm guessing most of your links are probably not text links which does hurt somewhat, but then again if your purpose is to have a site just for refering clients to and not generate it's own traffic... then it should be fine. Otherwise I would consider it a good start on "shopping around" for the right one.

just my two cents.

Doesn't look like much. It is tough for anyone to judge this for you because there is not a lot to work with. I've never seen a designer show a project this incomplete. How much are you paying them?

It may be time to start shopping around. Just my 2 cents.

subnet,

I wouldn't take it. The colors are bland, the layout is nothing special. I'm not a fan of two natigation areas, but that's just a personal problem.

There are a lot of template sites that give you a lot more functionality than what is represented, and look much more inviting to keep someone on your site.

i like it. Simple. Profesional.

There are statisticly more agent sites than porn. Think about that!!!

They are all mostly the same too. Broker brandished just like ever agent under that broker.

And most hurt your eyes they have so much clutter on pages you dont even know where to focus.

That real estate site, will not catch the consumers eye. As it has been stated it is to simple and not enough color to it in my opinion. Plus you could design that in a matter of mins in something like frontpage or dreamweaver.

Just having a website doesnt give you a internet presence. You want to represent to your clients that visit the site that you are a professional rea estate agent and that site doesnt say that to me. Just food for thought.

needs color, the menu bar across the top with the embossment makes kinda look fuzzy. Was this the finished product? Does not look complete
