I received a notice from one of the hosts that I use regarding a security issue with PHPBB. I do not use the program but this may be of interest to those of you that do....

The current version of the bulletin board software PHPBB is insecure and can be used to upload and execute files.
Those files are usually used to create fake bank web sites (for phishing) or to send spam.
This is a very serious issue which needs to be addressed quickly.

We will be patching all copies of this installed by our control panel system on all servers.
If you have made any modifications to the system files these may be lost.
