I've got a pair of real estate domain names that I'm looking to sell:
FireIslandSummerHomes.com
FireIslandSummerRentals.com

E-mail or PM me if you're interested in either of these.

Long Island, New York. One hour east of New York City, it's on the south shore of Long Island, mostly beachfront on the ocean.

Why are you selling them?

Why not? I have no need for them, maybe somebody else does.

If they were huge money makers, someone would make an offer or he'd already have them sold. I've gotten offers on domains that I've purchased, but since I don't buy them to rip people off, I have not sold them.

Those a really long names too. Just go to domainsite.com and buy some similar ones for 8 bucks a year.

Actually, I just started advertising these two days ago, to see if there was any interest. I've gotten 2 offers on them already.

I don't know what you're trying to say here, I'm not looking to rip anybody off, I'm just trying to do the same thing you are - make a buck.

I don't do real estate to just make a buck. I didn't have to do it and am leaving a well paying job because I'd like to help people invest. If I wanted to make a buck, I'd just stay at my current job since it's more secure.

When you buy domain names, you pay $8 so someone else can pay hundreds or thousands more. I see how you can relate this to real estate, so fine. I am just tired of trying to buy domains that I intend to use and it's taken by a squatter. Just my personal dislike.

I don't see why you got offers on those domains because they don't seem that great to me, but if someone wants to pay, sure.

Well, sometimes you buy a domain name and intend to use it, you just get side-tracked and it sits idle.

I've got one called RailroadCanyon.com that I thought I would use, but never did. It turned out that I liked living near the ocean more than I thought.

Hello
If you have a good domain name you need to have a web site to go along with that domain name,
There are tons of domain names for sale like on Afternic, Great Domains,E Bay etc you may want to place them on those sites to help you sell them.

good luck

I am not so sure that having a web site will always help. A lot of times the domain name buyer sees a name which just fits. Most likely he will want to build his own site on there and already has some ideas on how it should look and what it should be about.

Sometimes a good way to advertise it would be locally, meaning to real estate agent in the area which the domain name describes.

What indication do you have that he's trying to rip someone off? For crying out loud, unbunch those drawers.

Ignorance is bliss. Fire Island is a very popular summer rental locale off the southern shore of L.I., summer rentals there are very expensive and very popular. Being somewhat familiar with that area I bet there are plenty of real estate related companies in that area who think they are great domain names.

Tell me about it. I have about 30 domains just sitting there unused. I'd even considered posting them and offering them for sale but I don't want to be accused of trying to rip someone off. :p
