I think a few people were starting to get at this but this is how we handle the e-mail leads in the real estate office that I own:
First, as soon as the lead comes in on a particular property we have a message rule set up in our autoresponder that sends out full details about that property that may not have been included at the site along with a few other items. The way we do it is by using the MLS number because each property has this unique field and they are all different. It's easy to set this up as soon as we take the listing.
Next, the person is redirected into a follow-up general autoresponder that corresponds with what type of prospect they are as well as placed in the agent's contact manager and assigned a follow-up action plan which includes a 24 hour phone call, faxes, manual e-mails and a personal visit if necessary.
