Does anyone know of any free autoresponder services?

My mom is a Realtor and a couple years ago I set up her site with the standard sending out free reports.

Now I wouold like to move the site up to using Autoresponders instead. Autoresponders seem to be one of the better ways right now to build trust and to get Internet sourced customers to respond would probably be to have an autoresponder series that would teach and build Realtor credibility. I have checked out www.aweber.com but I am not sure it is worth $19.95/mo. I have checked out www.getresponse.com which has a free component but I do not know anything about their service.

Your site host should have autoresonding capabilities through it's cpanel.

hmmm altarealtor would you happen to be from here in Calgary? Thanks for the response!

I use 1 and 1 as a host and they only have a single autoreply type autoresponder. I believe I am looking for a "drip" email series where the subscriber would get a series of emails so if someone subscribes on Sunday they would get 5 emails over the next 5 days and if someone subscribes on Tuesday they would get those 5 eamils in the same order over the next 5 days.

I have subscribed to these in the past as "mini-courses" and it seems like a great trust building system with low maintenance after the initial setup. I believe that it would be the copywriting effectivness that would make it good or bad for any particular Realtor.

Yes Bill, same company as your mother in fact. I haven't posted my site as of yet as it's a work in progress. www.waynepostey.com

So now that you've explained what your looking for, No I can't say I know. I do use phplists for bulk mailing, but it only bulk mails.

Personally, I think an email a day is excessive and would only have people unsubscribing. Once a week would be useful, but should have current community content as opposed to the same old stuffy 'tips for sellers' reports.

I do some Perl/php programming and imagine that it would not be too difficult to add a couple of fields to the phplists database indicating when the next mail is to be sent, as well as the records progresson through a list of reports. A simple query in a daily cron would send or not, the next report.

I do think that current community news sent to entire list once a week would be more palatable. Do you offer such?

A good drip email system is worth it's weight in gold. Make sure whatever system you get can have it's email addresses automatically fed in, so the email drip campaign can start without you having to do anything. Usually the first Realtor to contact a lead "wins" them. This way, you can be out showing property while your websites starts the bonding process with potential clients.

You might want to check out www.ireagent.com. We do offer a drop email system that automatically captures email addresses, and fires off emails based on the campaign they were assigned to, and of course the schedule you assinged to the series of emails.
