It's useful a little, but not much. Google won't ever tell people things they really want to know

Do yourself a favor and take some time to learn what all of the data means and you will have a much better idea of how visitors are getting to/using/exiting your site.

I'm still waiting for an invite to start using the tool, I've heard really good reviews about it.

using analytics... great... especially it provides enough info to optimize your pages, your code, your website... use it all the time... just took some time to add the code on each page.... lol

Google's stats program is the best in the business. The greatest feature is the overlay function that it provides.

I think they did a pretty nice job of the "snapshot" with the default view - the executive overview. It has a slick set of graphs that show how many visitors, how many pageviews, new vs returning visitors, a pie chart showing top referring sites, and a map showing where your visitors came from. I love Google Analytics, and find it's much faster than Webtrends Live. Once you setup conversion tracking you can get into some pretty sophisticated web metrics too.

Google Analytics is a great tool-- and they just took it out of beta and have reformatted reports in a way that makes it even easy for a novice.
Great tool!

This Google Custom search may do a better job of searching the forums for some keywords than the old forum search does. The results do not include threads from the Asset Managers Forum however. To search that forum you will need to be actually in the Asset Managers Forum and you will need to use the old forum search below.
