Can anybody recommend an SEO company. It's taking too much time to do it on your own. And I would like my website to generate leads ASAP.

SEO isn't ASAP. For that you'll need to pay for Google advertising, or list with some higher ranked directories.

SEO ain't going to get you leads ASAP. Even the best SEO can take a year or two to really start generating leads, especially if your website domain name is new.


The best thing to do to get leads right away is to have a website that is nothing more then a MLS search. (such as www.mls-socal.com) Of course to search the MLS they need to enter email address, name, maybe phone number. Then with a well thought out pay-per-click campaign, drive people to that website. Of course you should have a good email drip campaign system tied to it so no leads fall through the cracks and everyone entering the system is followed up with in a timely fashion. Within a month you'll have leads to work."

Well I have several points to add... and this is what I do and I am damn good at it, plus I have been in real estate for a few years and I am no slouch there either....I compete with several 100,000 viable websites for my keywords...

Step one: You don't need to go crazy with the SEO. There are basic principles to getting ranked on local search.

1. Content - must be fresh and updated daily (you can buy custom content for as little as $30/ month) Your content should be keyword rich and viable. Several HTML links to pages about certain topics that are also keyword heavy help...

2. Submission: get yourself on RED, an dseverl other paid submission sites, for 100 - 45 a year or one time fee...

3. Page titles and descriptions that are concise and keyword heavy - each page should be a keyword phrase

4. PPC - all you need is Adwords and Yahoo Search Marketing... we generate 1,000's of leads a month spending very little....

5. you'll get leads but you need to manage them - get a program to do it for you, with an on-line newsletter sign-up

6. SEO takes 3 months on average I have yet to see SEO take longer than that...

7. Link exchange - not just with anyone, you need to align yourself with people that have good page rank, if not it is futile...

8. every business card, flyer, post-card, newspaper ad, etc, should have your web address....WITHOUT A DOUBT!

9. Paid Banner Space on a portal for your area
( search for your main numero uno keyword - whoever come sup on page one of google and yahoo - get your banner on their site)

10. find some basic HTML tags, like NoFollow, etc, for the spiders from google and yahoo, applying these to your site will tkae care of blocking out areas that don't change frequently or areas that are updated every 7 days - telling the spider to re-index your site weekly...

these are just some basic things, do some searches about SEO on google and you can find alot of great Message boards with all the specifics to anything I have here....

Definately! Over-generalizations based on exceptions at best. Sometimes it's almost better not to do seo rather than jump head over heals into a strategy that can get you banned.

No honest SEO can get you banned from any search engines. (honest meaning no tricks or spamming)

Honest SEO:
Do keyword research to make sure you're targeting the right phrases.
Format your title and meta tags correctly and page relavent.
Create copy for your pages that are relevant and matching your page title and description.

It doesn't take all that much to SEO your website... at least SEO your index page!
