I was wondering everyone's thoughts on streaming video on websites for listings. I have read some articles saying these are the wave of the future with more and more people with high-speed internet access. I have also seen agents in larger markets using them and they look great. Does anyone have any experience with them and have they been something that helps market a home? It seems that they could replace the 360* tours and virtual picture shows. I saw a company that will film the video, host and there site for you, compress it to flash for streaming and also burn the video to DVD for the agent and owners to play at open houses. They would also shoot very short Agent profiles so that an agent could e-mail a video about themselves to prospects. Seemed very cool and a new way to market to the masses with all the downloading and the pocket PC devices, but it may be expensive not sure. Also have seen agents podcasting as a way to market properties and to get there name out there for little money. Any thoughts would be very helpful.

It's interesting... I think the Podcasting thing has legs.... definitely was worth a lot of free PR in several newspapers and a mention of this website and podcasting for Realtors on a major Boston TV evening news broadcast... (was getting 150 hits an hour for several hours following....and still getting hits from their website!).

It's still early.. most people don't know what it is.. but those who got in on the ground floor with the internet are definitely reaping the benefits of that today with bigger and better websites and high search engine placement.

Always on the bleeding edge I guess...
