Everybody thinks that online advertising and links are enough to drive traffic.

For your info there are already a lot of Real Estate agents using Web Cards.

Web Cards are full-color, printed postcards with your Web page on one side and a customized message from you on the other. Web Cards are a unique and creative way to help you break through the Internet clutter and build a strong audience for your Web site. You can mail Web Cards to key clients/ prospects on your own, distribute in-store or at trade events, or simply hand them out to associates, prospects and friends.

For more info I suggest you to visit: http://www.easy-marketing.com

A tip: ask for Free Samples

I hope that will help you.

Sincerely,

Jill

You are right, web cards are pretty cool to promote website. Actually I bought some from easymarketing.com few months ago.
I also bought a mailing list from them...

But I also suggest 24/7 media (http://www.247media.com ) for emailing services.

By combining these two companies you have the best of both worlds (off-line and onl-line) to advertise your website in a cost effcient way. One thing: if you process an emailing I suggest you to use your clients list and do not buy any emailing list, they are not reliable. The traditional mailing lists (name, address...) are very reliable.

Good luck to all!

S

Here is a new offline marketing tool that I suggest:
ConnectCards.com http://www.connectcards.com

Connect Cards is a viral marketing tool to promote your Web site. Your visitors can send free printed postcards referring your Web site to friends.

Let me know your feedback.

Sincerely

Franck

How many leads are you getting from this? And on the other one, the something connect site, where customers/clients sends out cards to people they know, what's the lead on that one?

I'm going to be licensed soon, and looking for ideas on how to get started. Remember back at the time you just started in the business, what did you do, any advice?

Findability: The Importance of Web Site Positioning

Web site positioning, or search engine positioning, is one of the most preferred marketing strategies for websites.

It is especially very popular among small and medium sized UK businesses that are under a strict budget and in need of such inexpensive sources of traffic to their websites.

It is believed that over 95% of traffic comes from search engines and directories such as AltaVista UK, Yahoo UK, Northern Light, Lycos UK, Excite UK, DMOZ, etc.

If users are searching for information, products, or services online, they use a search engine / directory. And according to a Compaq study, 68% of 500 million users looked only at the first page of the results drawn by a search engine.

Therefore, if your website ranks in the top 10 positions of major search engines / directories, you can and you will attract hundreds or even thousands of new visitors to your website every month.

More importantly, if web site positioning is done carefully, your site will attract very targeted visitors who are more likely to be customers or recipients of the services that your business is offering. Most of the UK search engines do not charge you for submitting your site, but Lycos, Yahoo and a few other engines do charge you a one-time fee for submission.

Submitting your site, even with a payment, doesn't guarantee that your site will be placed at a prominent position.

Goto.com is the only popular search engine that places your site higher depending on how much you are willing to pay per click. Not every business can afford to do this.

Very seriously, anyone can learn the art of web positioning. But, you need to invest time, and effort to do so.

Web positioning is more or less and experiment. You may succeed or you may not. Therefore, you also need dedication and patience.

Eventually, you WILL succeed.

There are several UK web-sites where you can learn to position your site for the toughest and biggest search engines, for free.

You think webcards are cool. You should check out http://www.ecampaignpro.com

You can send out graphical, high impact email that look like flyers. I get statistics back on who opened the email, how many times they read it, whether or not they visited my website, and even recieve leads back to my cel phone.

With regard to the post above on web position in the search engines, I have to agree 100% that's where you get your best bang for your buck --- but only if you do in fact score well in the search engines.

It can be done! But I don't think everybody is geared for success with it. Obviously, there are only going to be 10 positions on the first page of any search engine for any keyphrase, and only some people will do well.

What I've found is that some people may be geared to be successful without being aware of their capability. However, in most cases, most people are better off paying someone else to do it. Another trick, however, is that you don't know who really is good enough to hire.

For do-it-yourselfers, I recommend the following book in Amazon. It's only $9.95 and is basic and short, without being too basic: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0...6828384-6356809

HTH. Good luck!
