I get good traffic to my websites and I have been looking at a couple of idx companies to use on my websites. My gut tells me it would generate more leads than allowing mls access.

Can anyone back up my "gut" feelings on this? What percentage increase in contacts has anyone experienced with a before and after type of test?

not a huge amount actually, for me maybe 10 or so extra a year.

but my business is more of a niche, and commercial based, so it's hard for me to say.

I hardly got any leads until I required a sign in for MLS access. So, it worked for me.

right I am using mls access now. I was just wondering if using IDX would increase the number of contacts because of the way the information is presented to the viewer.

Ok that sounds a little cryptic.

What i am trying to say is that from the idx solutions that I have seen the lister information is moved more to the bottom.

You can also control zip codes and cities or have the results customized in a different way. I usually costs a couple of hundred dollars to get it set up.


Anyway I think I will give it a wirl

I get a couple IDX leads a week with no required sign in. The leads I get a usually people wanting more information on a specific property or they just want to know if the home is still available. Either way, it does the job of getting potential buyers to raise there hands.
