I was wondering if anyone here has tried putting a buyers agency agreement online? If so, have you had success with it? What type of implementation have you done?

Would it not depend upon the State you are located in, and whether or not your Board permits such?

And, on another note: since networking is everything, and perhaps especially so on this forum - would it not be adviseable for folks to use their real names, as opposed to a chatline type of ID? - just a thought.

Kudos Carolyne!
If we truly are willing to share ideas and insights then there is no reason to hide behind a user ID.

As for an on-line agency agreement. A number of sites have incorporated this to satisfy MLS board rules for allowing on-line buyers to view mls listings. This also provides a vehicle for led capture.

If I read you right, Michael, this would indicate that folks who use on-line buyer's agency agreements, require folks to "sign in" in order to be able to access an MLS system ? and thereby acquire a lead. From what I have researched on the sign-in-required sites, it almost seems like the public often will move along to another site where they can maintain their anonymity until such time as they feel comfortable with an agent/site; sort of a preliminary get-to-know-you philosophy before committing to one particular site/agency and yet still being able to do their own research of a particular market.

Keeping the lines of communication open is, in large part, the secret weapon of having a successful web site. Sadly not all Realtors are good "communicators" - with or without the Net, and those folks must find it very difficult to "make a web site work", regardless of the web site's exposure in any given market arena.

Has nothing to do with hiding behind an nic. I work at a company that markets to realtors. I wasn't keen on disclosing my name because I am speaking as a representative of the company, Planet IDX, Inc.

I haven't gone into a big dissertation as to who I am or who we are because I don't want to be one of those obnoxious morons that tries to sell you something on a forum.

Planet IDX is actually our parent company and you will not be able to find us online using that name.

I found this forum and figured I could share ideas with realtors who are not clients. I am not a realtor but in the past 3 years I have seen over 15,000 leads go buy, I work closely with about 100 of the best realtors in my city, and my company utterly dominates the search engines for our market - both before and after the google update. I am saying this to show you while I am not a realtor, I do know what I am talking about and have a lot of experience in the industry. If you figure out who I am, more power to ya, otherwise I won't bother to tell ya.

Carolyne,
What I have found is that you need to give the visitor to your site a compelling reason to come in. The problem with most real estate sites is that they give too many opportunities for the visitor to click away. Also realtors try to make their sites all things to all people. I have specific lead generating sites that I market in the classifieds to drive traffic. For example look at www.PriceMyHouseOnline.com and www.FindMyHomeOnline.com
All they are designed to do is gather leads and engage the customer to become my client.
By the way are you a member of TREB or BREB?
