Masking is a seperate issue...doing that does not
remove the Point2 from his URL.

He can do that with Point2 but he can also do it at his domain hosting company.

As for removing the Point2 from his URL... for me it's a non-issue. Yes, it shows where the page resolves but the end product the domain is masked.

For some it's trivial it the "Point2 address" is seen during the process. Instead to some what matters is the end product. As in resolving the domain to a domain name instead of to the Point2 subdomain address.

Many of my clients don't notice that gee... some of my sites resolve to a Point2website. Gasp. No, it's trivial to them.

Instead to them it matters more what I can do for them. How can they benefit? Than if they see a Point2 address while the URL is resolving.

To each or her own but there are different solutions and different ways to resolve "problems."

Anyway I hope this helped you, Solomon.

Again, as far as I know, you will not be able
to SEO you site if you keep the subdomain. Masking is not the issue.

When you set up a P2A site, the default URL
is the P2 addy...this is supposed to be changed
with P2A.

Hello all!

I've been away for awhile. Thanks for everyone's feedback. As you'll see by my link, http://www.TheAtlantaHomePages.com, my domain is no longer a subdomain (if I understand the term correctly). By the way, the P2A discussion board also discourages masking, something to do with SEO.

Thanks again for everyone's help. Gotta go sell something!

OK, P2A finally processed the domain and it should no longer be a subdomain if I understand the term. Thanks for everyone's feedback!

Hi Solomon

Your URL here didn't resolve due to an extra character, a comma that was placed before the forward slash

http://www.theatlantahomepages.com,/

Thus a problem with websites. Far too often some people focus on trivial matters when the URL may be mispelled. What good is it?

But yeah some people do think they have all the answers but this only shows how some things can matter more... like a mispelled URL ;\)

Just a thought.

This Google Custom search may do a better job of searching the forums for some keywords than the old forum search does. The results do not include threads from the Asset Managers Forum however. To search that forum you will need to be actually in the Asset Managers Forum and you will need to use the old forum search below.
